WIFI not working in Live mode - ninjawarrior - 15th March 2018

I`m running Netrunner 18.03 from my live USB, but the WIFI is not active. My laptop is a Asus ROG.  My question is why isn`t there a Device manager in this version? Huh

Ksysinfo provides a device manager and comes preinstalled. Or what do you mean?

Can you check please which wifi chip you have.

I did try looking in Ksysinfo and there is no device manager. There is a list of hardware and software information, but no device manager. The reason I ask is because usually you can change or get drivers from there. When I boot into the live environment, the system does not recognize the wifi driver in my laptop.  I believe the wifi card is a Broadcom BCM4352 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter.
(I do have another laptop that I have tried using the live USB from and the wifi connects just fine from that laptop)
But I cannot find a device manager in this new version of Netrunner (18.03 debian).

Here are my system specs:

I take it then, there is no solution? Confused

RE: WIFI not working in Live mode - leszek - 28th March 2018

So you are confusing device manager with proprietary software installer.
By default we provide already proprietary wifi drivers.

However for the broadcom drivers to work some manual work needs to be done. See https://wiki.debian.org/wl
